Baseball Recap: Orem Tigers vs. Richfield Wildcats
Orem won against West Jordan on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Orem Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Richfield Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Cole Engemann tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Zach Engemann was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxtin Johnson, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Orem always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richfield only posted an OBP of .250.
Orem now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Richfield, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Looking ahead, Orem will challenge Pocatello at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Richfield, they will square off against Wasatch at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wasatch's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
