            Basketball Recap: Leonardtown Raiders vs. Meade Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Leonardtown couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against  the Meade Mustangs on Saturday, falling  72-49. The Raiders were down  54-27 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 When it comes to explaining why Leonardtown lost, don't look at  Landon Windell. Despite the final result, he  went 6-for-13  to rack up 22 points. What's more,  Windell also posted a 67%  three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's  achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Adam Labows, who  posted eight  points.
 Meade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Keon Scott led the charge by  dropping  a double-double with 20 points and ten  rebounds. Scott is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's  played.  Ashton Turman was another key player,  shooting 60% from beyond the arc on his way to 26  points and five  boards.
Leonardtown's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Meade, the  win (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 23-3.
 Leonardtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meade, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  64-52  defeat against Laurel on the 12th.
