Volleyball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University suffered their biggest defeat since September 9th on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Morgantown Mohigans. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Mohigans: they've now lost four in a row.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Morgantown scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Riley Braham paced University's offense, picking up five kills. Braham got some help from Alexis Oravec and her nine assists.

University's record now sits at 20-7-2. As for Morgantown, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5-1 record this season.

University will be taking part in a tournament against John Marshall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgantown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Cabell Midland on the 4th.
