Appalachian Christian has no trouble against Mercer Christian Academy

Appalachian Christian entered their tilt with the Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Appalachian Christian was the clear victor by a 82-62 margin over Mercer Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Mercer Christian Academy lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eli Patton, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was MJ Patton, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six steals.

Appalachian Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points per game. As for Mercer Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Appalachian Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mercer Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 19th. Mercer Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mountain Mission at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
