Baseball Recap: L'anse Creuse North Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

L'Anse Creuse North dropped their record down to 9-13 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils, falling 10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Andrew Weinrauch was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, L'Anse Creuse North saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Brincheck, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Grosse Pointe South, their win bumped their record up to 21-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by six runs or more this season.

On Grosse Pointe South's side, not much got past Jack Danielewicz, who gave up just three hits to keep L'Anse Creuse North off the board.

On the hitting side, Grosse Pointe South got a massive performance out of Jack Lupo, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Lupo a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Michelotti (James), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

While L'Anse Creuse North had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
