Football Game Preview: Houston Mustangs vs. Ravenwood Raptors + How To Watch

The Houston Mustangs will take on the Ravenwood Raptors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Houston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Germantown by a score of 33-22.

Houston found their leader in sophomore Canon Day, who rushed for 125 yards and one TD on only 11 carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one score. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 63 yards.

Houston was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Ravenwood put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Cane Ridge 35-14. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.

Houston's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Ravenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Houston came out on top in a nail-biter against Ravenwood in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, sneaking past 24-21. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Raptors' Maverick Chance, who rushed for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 25 yards and one TD. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Mustangs still be able to contain Chance? There's only one way to find out.
