Football Recap: Lapeer Takes a Loss

Lapeer extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They were beaten by the Davison Cardinals 44-0. While losing is never fun, the Lightning can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Cardinals are ranked 19th).

As for Davison, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Leading Davison to victory were Jaxson Dosh and Tyanthony Lewis. Dosh threw for 177 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, while Lewis gained 82 total yards and a touchdown. That's the most passing touchdowns Dosh has posted since back in September of 2024.

As of now, neither Lapeer nor Davison have any future games scheduled.
