Pearl City won the last time they faced East Dubuque and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Wolves won by a  run and slipped past the Warriors  4-3. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Warriors on their field since April 9, 2019.
 Pearl City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jacob Runkle, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI. Another  was  Brody Voegeli, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with two  RBI and one  double.
Pearl City is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for East Dubuque, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8-1.
 Looking ahead, Pearl City is taking a road trip to  challenge Forreston  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Dubuque, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orion  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
