Recap: Fairfield Mules vs. Greenville Comets
It was a good run, but The Fairfield Mules unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a rough 35-12 loss at the hands of Greenville. The low total for Fairfield limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
Despite the loss, Fairfield still got an impressive performance from Trey Mason, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Greenville, their victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 10-0.
Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Greenville will be playing in front of their home fans against Olympia at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Olympia is ranked 140th, while Greenville is ranked 142nd).
