Volleyball Recap: Mountain Crest Falls to Morgan in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Mountain Crest unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Morgan Trojans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

While Mountain Crest ultimately came up short, they really made Morgan work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-14, 27-29, 26-24, 15-5.

Mountain Crest's loss came despite strong showings from Ella Malm and Annie Barber. Malm had seven digs and four aces, while Barber had six digs and three blocks.

Morgan's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Mountain Crest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Box Elder on the 19th. As for Morgan, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against North Summit on the 13th.
