Baseball Recap: Lake Highland Prep Takes a Loss

Lake Highland Prep lost against Master's Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Lake Highland Prep lost 8-1 to Master's Academy. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Highland Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manny Socarras, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Socarras a new career-high. Landon Towns also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lake Highland Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Master's Academy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Lake Highland Prep has already played their next game, an 8-3 defeat against Bishop Moore on the 14th. As for Master's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Jupiter Christian on the 19th.
