Recap: Washougal Panthers vs. Columbia River Rapids
The Washougal Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 75-59 bruising from Columbia River. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Washougal in their matchups with Columbia River: they've now lost five in a row.
Washougal's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Holden Bea, who scored 13 points. Sam Evers was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Washougal has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Columbia River, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washougal will take on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodland is on a three-game streak of home losses, Washougal a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Columbia River will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against R.A. Long at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th.
