Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Little Miami

Little Miami proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 11) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the West Clermont Wolves 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 27, 2024.

Jackson Reynolds spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Little Miami's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ian Sukup, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was Thomas Jackson, who scored a run and stole two bases.

The victory (which was Little Miami's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for West Clermont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
