Basketball Recap: Lehigh Picks Up 11th Straight Win on the Road

Lehigh's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Barron Collier Cougars 68-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lightning have posted since January 26, 2024.

Despite the loss, Barron Collier still got an impressive performance from Spencer Clayton, who posted 34 points in addition to six assists and six boards. Clayton's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Crawford, who put up 16 points.

Lehigh pushed their record up to 19-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Barron Collier, their defeat ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-6.

Lehigh will face off against Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 290 places (119 vs. 409). Similarly, Barron Collier (ranked 147th) will meet Everglades City (ranked 612th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
