Softball Game Preview: Centerville Big Reds/Redettes vs. Clarke Indians

The Centerville Big Reds/Redettes will head out on the road to square off against the Clarke Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Centerville will be strutting in after a victory while Clarke will be coming in after a defeat.

Centerville is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Danville with a sharp 8-1 win on Saturday. The Big Reds/Redettes haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Clarke came up short against Chariton on Friday, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost five in a row.

Centerville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Clarke, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Centerville couldn't quite get it done against Clarke in their previous matchup back in June of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can the Big Reds/Redettes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
