Volleyball Recap: Pittsfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Drury on Monday, Pittsfield came back down to earth. The Generals came up short against the Lenox Memorial Millionaires on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Generals have struggled against the Millionaires recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, 25-11.

Shyanne Mungin paced Pittsfield's offense, picking up two kills. Mungin got some help from Kayla Crupi and her four assists.

Grace Julieano was nothing short of spectacular for Lenox Memorial: she had nine aces and eight assists. Those nine aces gave Julieano a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily Barenski, who had six aces and one assist.

Pittsfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lenox Memorial, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pittsfield will square off against Monument Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lenox Memorial, they will head out to square off against Mohawk Trail Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
