Recap: Barnwell Warhorses vs. Hampton County Hurricanes
The Barnwell Warhorses's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 67-47 walloping at the hands of Hampton County. Barnwell has struggled against Hampton County recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Vashahd Scofield and Mican Bradley certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Scofield scored 11 points, while Bradley scored nine points. Bradley's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Jamarcus Coleman was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Barnwell has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Hampton County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.
Barnwell will be playing in front of their home fans against Edisto at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Edisto is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. Hampton County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ridgeland-Hardeeville at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Ridgeland-Hardeeville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Hampton County is ranked 61st).
