Basketball Recap: Old Plank Christian Academy Triumphs

Old Plank Christian Academy won the last time they faced Covenant School of Jacksonville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders came out on top against the Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors by a score of 34-25. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Defenders.

Old Plank Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Madison Baker went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals and Jenna Jiannuzzi posted four points in addition to 14 rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baker has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Wilkins, who put up four points along with eight boards and four steals.

Covenant School of Jacksonville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Charis O'Dell, who had nine points and three steals, and Callie Seltz, who posted 12 points. Caelyn Christoffersen was another key player, putting up seven rebounds.

Old Plank Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Old Plank Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-29 win against St. Joseph Academy on the 10th. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-20 loss against St. Johns Country Day on the 9th.
