Baseball Recap: Gulf Buccaneers vs. Gibbs Gladiators
There's no place like home for Gulf, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Gibbs Gladiators on Wednesday as the Gulf Buccaneers made off with a 13-3 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Gulf considering their one-run performance the match before.
Jaidon Sopjack and Rowan Graziano made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Sopjack pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Graziano struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Sopjack has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.
