Basketball Recap: Fountain Inn's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Fountain Inn had lost four straight headed into Tuesday's match, but Amaziah Austin didn't let it get to five. The Fountain Inn Fury came out on top against the Belton-Honea Path Bears by a score of 54-42 on Tuesday thanks in part to Austin, who posted 18 points and seven rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Belton-Honea Path lost, don't look at Brelin Dennis. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Marshall Bolden was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Fountain Inn's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Belton-Honea Path, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Fountain Inn wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-52 loss against Woodmont on the 12th. As for Belton-Honea Path, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-40 victory against Greenville H on the 12th.
