Volleyball Recap: Marie Philip Comes Up Short

Marie Philip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Newman. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Newman this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Marie Philip may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored eight points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-8, 25-8.

Marie Philip's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Newman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Marie Philip didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against American School for the Deaf on the 22nd. Newman has also already played their next matchup (against Landmark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
