Volleyball Recap: Park Hill Starts Season with Win on the Road

Park Hill had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Kearney Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory didn't come easy: Kearney scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-27, 25-20, 25-20.

Park Hill's offense was headlined by Payton Osegueda and Ava Daneff, who picked up 17 kills apiece. They got some help from Tessa Walker and her 32 assists. Finally, Parker Kimball kept Park Hill's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Kearney and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Park Hill will challenge Oak Park at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kearney, they will square off against Staley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
