Volleyball Recap: Caroline Winans' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wayne Trace over Ottoville

Wayne Trace lost against Ottoville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders came up short against the Big Green, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-19, 25-19.

Wayne Trace lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Caroline Winans, who had 17 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Torree Sinn was another key player, getting 11 digs, two aces, and one block.

Wayne Trace's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Ottoville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Wayne Trace has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Miller City on the 13th. As for Ottoville, they will face off against Columbus Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
