Baseball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado was the 10-0 winner over Cibola when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eldorado Golden Eagles fell 13-8 to the Cibola Cougars on Saturday.

Ethan Marquez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Cibola, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Eldorado will head out to square off against Albuquerque at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eldorado is facing Albuquerque at the right time seeing as Albuquerque is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cibola, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against West Mesa at 3:30 p.m.
