Baseball Game Preview: Westfield Wolverines vs. Brocton Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Westfield will face off against Brocton. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Westfield's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Brocton by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Danny Bratton made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Westfield is 3-1 when Bratton posts eight or more strikeouts, but 5-7 otherwise. Bratton was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Bratton wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Joel Stein, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Stein a new career-high. Trent Ramm was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Brocton is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10. As for Westfield, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
