Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Fullerton

Fullerton extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 16-8-1 in the process. Everything went their way against the Laguna Hills Hawks as they made off with an 8-1 victory. Eight seems to be a good number for the Indians as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Fullerton got a great performance from Declan Fitzgerald as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Fitzgerald has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Lazer Rojas was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mason Park, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Fullerton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

As for Laguna Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since April 9, 2024.

On Laguna Hills' side, Nate Medina was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Fullerton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
