Basketball Recap: Denton Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Denton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the George Ranch Longhorns 50-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Ethan Sheats had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Lojok Loliwa, who posted ten points.

Denton's record is now 7-1. As for George Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coming up, Denton will square off against Cinco Ranch at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for George Ranch, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Bend Travis at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
