Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 4-1 to the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rhinos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 last Thursday.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Carnegie Vanguard, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Austin will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Carnegie Vanguard, they have already played their next match, an 8-1 loss against Waltrip on the 10th.
