Baseball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview and Lakeland squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Westview had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in April.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lakeland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeland, they will take on Eastside at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
