Soccer Game Preview: Northbrook vs. Cy-Fair

The Northbrook Raiders will challenge the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped with close wins against their previous opponents.

Northbrook's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Cypress Creek. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Cougars are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northbrook's one-goal win came courtesy of Kevin Garay, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Cy-Fair narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Cypress Falls 2-1.

Northbrook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. Cy-Fair's victory bumped their record up to 2-11.
