McKenzie waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers 49-6. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-6.

It was another big night for Cole Brown, who threw for 316 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes, and also rushed for 37 yards and three scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (162.6). 92 of Brown's passing yards were hauled in by Avery Brown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to McKenzie's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Aiden Legens was the leader with two.

McKenzie's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

McKenzie and Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests.
