Basketball Game Preview: Bunker Hill Bears vs. St. Stephens Indians

Bunker Hill is 0-10 against St. Stephens since November of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. Both will face off at 9:00 a.m. without much rest having both just played. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bunker Hill saw some tournament action on Friday. They were outmatched by Newton-Conover and fell 61-19. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Red Devils are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, St. Stephens took a blow against South Caldwell on Friday, falling 59-22.

St. Stephens has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Bunker Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Things could have been worse for Bunker Hill, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-36 loss to St. Stephens when the teams last played on December 6th. Can Bunker Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
