Baseball Recap: Iona Prep Has No Trouble Against Kings Park

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iona Prep). They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Kings Park Kingsmen on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Sean Concannon made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Concannon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Iona Prep got a massive performance out of Jake Rodrigues, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Julian Guzman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Iona Prep now has a winning record of 3-2-1.
