Soccer Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Plant Panthers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while the Panthers are ranked 133rd).

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Plant, they pushed their record up to 7-1-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Jefferson and Spoto will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Plant, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Newsome at 8:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Newsome is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season.
