St. Paul Catholic has no trouble against Seymour

The St. Paul Catholic Falcons had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Seymour with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 65-50. The score was all tied up 24-24 at the break, but St. Paul Catholic was the better team in the second half.

Seymour's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Indrit Peraj, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Peraj hasn't dropped below 15 points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Joey Carrafiello, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.

St. Paul Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Seymour, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6.

St. Paul Catholic will head out on the road to take on Kennedy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Paul Catholic is facing Kennedy at the right time seeing as Kennedy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Seymour, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ansonia at 7:00 p.m. Ansonia knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Seymour likes a good challenge.
