Baseball Recap: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Oceanside Pirates

After a string of five wins, Mt. Carmel's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Oceanside Pirates by a score of 5-3. Mt. Carmel was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Oceanside apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Wednesday.

Bryce Miller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Camden Graver, who went 1-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.

On Oceanside's side, Quintin Cole looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
