Baseball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Bethel Christian Academy won against DASH on Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the Trojans' way against the Greenville Christian Academy Knights as they made off with an 8-2 victory. Considering the Trojans have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cooper Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brayden Cash was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Bethel Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jonathan White, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bethel Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Greenville Christian Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Bethel Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Greenville Christian Academy, they will take on Wilson Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
