Basketball Recap: Greater Latrobe Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Greater Latrobe suffered their closest loss since February 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Penn-Trafford Warriors by a score of 54-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Warriors are ranked 214th).

Greater Latrobe's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3. As for Penn-Trafford, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Greater Latrobe Wildcats challenge the Franklin Regional Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn-Trafford, they will be playing at home against Greensburg Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Penn-Trafford is facing Greensburg Salem at the right time seeing as Greensburg Salem is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
