Softball Recap: Miller Comes Up Short

Miller extended their losing streak to 21 on Friday, dropping them down to 3-30. They lost 15-0 to the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.

For Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial's part, the team relied heavily on Parker Malone, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Nariah Gomez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.
