Baseball Recap: Silas Has No Trouble Against Olympic

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Peninsula, Silas was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Olympic Trojans 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Joey Schilling spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

At the plate, Eli Lystra was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Cade Owen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Silas lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Silas' win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Olympic, they dropped their record down to 9-10 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Silas will venture away from home to face off against River Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olympic, they will host North Mason at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
