Monache has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They fell just short of the Redwood Rangers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 913th, while the Rangers are ranked 303rd).

Monache's goal came courtesy of Jesus Torres, who's now up to two this season.

Monache's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Redwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4-7.

Monache has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Mt. Whitney on the 15th. As for Redwood, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Golden West on the 15th.
