Volleyball Recap: Nativity BVM Green Wave vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nativity BVM can now relate to. They came up short against the Tri-Valley Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Green Wave's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-18, 25-13.

Juli Carlson paced Nativity BVM's offense, picking up ten kills. Carlson got some help from Addisan Ricard and her eight assists. Finally, Finley Mcnamara kept Nativity BVM's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Tri-Valley was led to victory by Kirra Klinger and Callie Melocheck. Klinger had 18 digs, while Melocheck had ten digs, two aces, and a kill. Melocheck has been hot for a while, having also posted 17 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Nativity BVM's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Tri-Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-5-1 record this season.
