Baseball Recap: Centaurus Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gilbert Christian, Centaurus was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Crescent Valley Raiders 7-6.

The team relied heavily on Ben Sehnert, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Nelson, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Sehnert wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Centaurus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. Centaurus is a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Centaurus now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Crescent Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Centaurus will challenge Shadow Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crescent Valley, they will square off against Vista Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
