Football Recap: Charleroi Comes Up Short

Charleroi was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Keystone Oaks Golden Eagles. The Cougars lost against the Golden Eagles in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 14-7 score last time.

Charleroi's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Keystone Oaks, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleroi will welcome Sto-Rox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.8 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
