Volleyball Game Preview: Southside Seahawks vs. Lejeune Devilpups

Southside is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Lejeune a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Southside Seahawks will host the Lejeune Devilpups at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Southside came up short against Northside - Pinetown on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Southside had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-20.

Elanor Davis put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had 20 digs.

Meanwhile, Lejeune lost 3-0 to Pamlico County on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-17.

Lejeune's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Southside, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
