Basketball Recap: Clarendon Broncos vs. Floydada Whirlwinds
Clarendon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell to the Floydada Whirlwinds 63-57. That makes it three consecutive games in which Valadez has scored at least a third of Floydada's points. Another player making a difference was Eric Gonzalez, who had four points in addition to three steals.
The victory got Floydada back to even at 2-2.
Clarendon will take on Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Floydada, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-54 win against Lockney on the 25th.
