Baseball Recap: Raymond Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Raymond had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Gilford Golden Eagles on Friday. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Golden Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Brady McGovern made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucas Laraby, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Raymond's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Gilford, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 13-3 record.

As of now, neither Raymond nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
