Baseball Recap: First Assembly Christian Crusaders vs. St. Bede Bruins
First Assembly Christian can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 14-6 margin over the St. Bede Bruins. The win was just what First Assembly Christian needed coming off of a 17-6 loss in their prior game.
Kayden Hartunian was incredible, going 3-for-5 with a home run, six RBI, and two runs. Christian Forrest was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5.
The victory got First Assembly Christian back to even at 8-8. As for St. Bede, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Assembly Christian will take on Briarcrest Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Briarcrest Christian is coming into the contest with four straight wins at home, so First Assembly Christian will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for St. Bede, they are on the road again on Saturday to play East Dubuque at 12:00 p.m.
