Basketball Game Preview: Stranahan Mighty Dragons vs. Madison Trojans

The Stranahan Mighty Dragons will square off against the Madison Trojans at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Stranahan's tournament run continued when they took on Bartow on Tuesday. The Mighty Dragons took a 70-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (60), the Mighty Dragons still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Madison didn't have quite enough to beat Roosevelt on Saturday and fell 71-69.

Stranahan will need to focus on slowing down Josiah Cobb, one of several Madison players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 24 points. Another player making a difference was Darius Hooks, who had 15 points.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Stranahan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Stranahan was able to grind out a solid win over Madison in their previous meeting back in November of 2019, winning 68-57. Do the Mighty Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
