Softball Recap: Aldine Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Aldine's offense. They lost 15-0 to the MacArthur Generals on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 back in March.

Aldine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juliana Moctezuma, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Aldine and nudges their season record down to 6-16. As for MacArthur, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aldine will square off against Westfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aldine is facing Westfield at the right time seeing as Westfield is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for MacArthur, they will challenge Spring at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Generals will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight contests.
